Rules

I'm imposing some rules upon myself........

I must finish all of the piled high projects that are waiting to be finished
BEFORE I start anything else!!!!
and take proper photos of them :0

Oh NO!

so far I'm off to a flying start
* Three quilt backs made and ready
* One lot of binding machine sewn on
* Trimmed two quilts ready for binding

To Do
*Hand sew two lots of binding to finish (already machine sewn on- half done!)
*make binding and sew on two quilts
*Drop off three quilts to Kim Bradley for machine quilting
*Make two more quilt back (for the most recent Union Jack/ Zig Zag)
*pick up text quilt from Kim Bradley and make/do binding
*put Labels on them all......

Then I should have in my little hands

9 Quilts!!!
and then off to do a photo shoot

I couldn't do a post with out a photo - so here is some doodles my daughter and I did over the weekend. She is 8 turning 9 soon and loves a bit of mummy time.

Good luck to me :) and my endeavour
and I hope your all better than me at doing one thing at a time................

Marmalade and Jam

Marmalade and Jam Quilt Top
It was Australia Day here in OZ yesterday - we had an unusually quiet one at our house and I took the opportunity to make up a Union Jack Quilt Top (I've been meaning to for ages).
A bit wonky - but I'm still very happy with it.

I think next Ill do a single bed size - for one of the boys - now that I have the hang of it and worked out where I went wrong with this one, It should be a piece of cake..........

small step

Yay for me! Just need to cut up a few more rows and nearly done. No more injuries today either.

Air Head

A little progress (a little being an understatement!) My head is off with the fairies - too much sun possibly?
On another note - although still under the heading of my hazy brain, I dropped the rotary cutter and gave myself a substantial slice on the ankle. Thats definitely a first! I have suffered many finger and hand slices - But ankle ?

I've had a break from cutting fabric, but this is it so far. Only two or three more fabrics to go - I didn't want to risk any further injury.
This is the trunk of a very large tree near the beach we swim at - Does anyone else see an Alien? again could just be me...........

Yes or No ?

I'm very non comital with a lot of my answers - mostly when it comes to the kids questions. So much so that even my four year old has caught on and will press me with "Is that a yes or a no?"

So with that in mind I created a Yes and No version of my Thesaurus text fabric.

I mixed it up with some yellow Robert Kaufmann, plain white and a scrap of a yellow and grey check I had left over.

I  made it 1.8 x 1.7, which will be a nice snuggly size for the lounge. With the bright modern mix I thought it would suite a lounge room. Great way to update your colours and add some fun.

I've also been busy rearranging the house.
My Stash has a new home, although still not perfect I'm very happy with the change of home for most of my sewing stuff. One day i might even have a sewing room..........

That's me for today - Nice to catch up and be home after two weeks away :)
